Pistons traveled quickly, muscles flexing from the new workout. Now this was quite interesting, a light minx fighting back. This amused him greatly, and caused him to chuckle. It was cold and ridgid, yet enamels met hers, snapping upon her muzzle in a repremanding manner. He threw a heavy buck as she nipped him, launching quickly after her. ooc: ouch. Are Uno cards yummy? I might give them a try.

ooc// Not really. The company should have a warning on the boxes: Not for consumption. XD
bic// Rue squeled, spurring herself quickly into a gallop. She couldn't fight, she wasn't the most beautiful of horses, and she wasn't the fastest. But she could put on quite a race, and for a moment the danger left her as her hooves pounded the ground. She knew he eventually would catch up, though she didn't think about it. She just concentrated on the rythmic beating against the topography, the tauteness of her muscles. Wincing against the wind as she fled, she could feel the stings of his nips; The rushing air making htem sting.

ooc: lol. Yeah, I agree. Most cards don't taste too good, unless you rub like chocolate on them or something... Humph.
bic:
Yesterday didn't have the best skills in reaction, but was known for being quick, as bloodlines might show. Being of pure Thoroughbred, he could catch up to most anything easily, on a normal day. Yet since the war in Arachnia, his wounds wore him down. he'd gotten bitten harshly on his neck, which had cut off air curculation for some time, and in the long run, had given him bad wind. Yet, speed never failed him.
Pillars jerked forth, chasing the minx like a larger animal would chase its prey. Towers flew backward, digging into his skull as he darted after her.

Grinning inwardly, Rue made a quick realiztion. He had the muscle to catch her, but with his size, her lithe form would come in handy. Again her dagger dug into the sod, only this time sending chips of mud flying onto her own back; She had cut diagonally, half doubling back in a flash.
ooc// Haha, my friend gave me these little chocolates last night, and we didnt know what they were, so we ate them, (her mom had gotten them) and in the middle we hit the most horrid taste. Vanilla extract. 0.0

bic:
He sped up quickly, opticals taking in everything, slamming on the breaks as she turned. He scrambled to keep his balance, shifting to the left, breaking for a few paces. Just as soon as the movement came, he was back at it again, darting after the mare.

Her breath was slowly escaping her, and she snorted while she ran, sides heaving. The vix tried to zigzag, and soon a burning sensation began creeping up her sweat lathered pillars; As if boiling water was running up her ligaments. Towers were tipped back, stinging her skull as the wind forced them to batter her crown. Dial pushed forward on her stretched nape, and bent, so her nares were almost brushing the ground. Finally Rue froze. Gradually. First her testy gallop slowed to a choppy lope, then down to a breexy trot, an exhausted saunter, and a stop. Her dish hung to the ground, as she swayed, attempting to catch her breath. She had pushed herself to her limits.

This wasn't his best move in the world, as he was in no such shape to pursue such a case. Bodice slowed even before hers did, hindquarters trailing behind him, seeming not to work much longer. Fore pillars struggled to keep up his own weight, but eventually he regained himself, realizing he hadn't been paying close attention to the mare, whom had also slowed. The brute was halted now, in a slight rooted position in the muddy sod. The stench of blood and worm ridden water entered his nares, causing him to cringe. Audits were forced forward, opticals beginning to search for her figure. His mind continued to change as he watched her, thinking back to what life had been like when he'd been in a similar position. Though, that one had been with his father, he still related the two. Give up, just cave in to it. And that's exactly what he did; he stood, giving the impression that he had infact given up. The hession hadn't taken the time to figure out she too had stopped, and figured she'd managed to escape quite quickly from the lands.

Rue turned, her frame shifting under the tremoring sinews that laced her bodice. Pinnacles tilted forward, snorting, as he stopped. Quietly she looked at him with her optics, thinking. Most brutes didn't just stop in mid chase after a minx. Tentatively, she took a step towards him, velvets drawn to her chest again as she snorted. A single accousted tipped back, lightly touching her skull as she nickered to him, curiosity reflecting in her orbs.

Towers twitched at the sound of moving water, the visions of droplets creating tiny waves flashing in front of his pools, causing his attention to revert to Rue. He didn't meet her gaze, but cocked his dial in her direction. What exactly did he want? He didn't want to be this kind of male, for he never was. He was loyal, that's why he went back to Arachnia in the first place. For unknown reasons, he found himself going back every single time something went wrong. In this case, that personality wasn't working out. It tended to mask the hurt and pain, but never got him closer to the real target. This got into thinking about who he was. A dark? He didn't act too much like one, most definitely not. Yet, he wasn't a very good light, as you could tell by his recent actions. There had to be some place in the middle, some place that fit.
Facade fully turned in her direction, revealing a full blaze, a jagged thin line of fur missing toward his forelock. Optics held a softer gaze, more welcoming than the first time he'd laid eyes on her. Inhaling a gust of oxygen, he let out a small nicker, allowing his pinnacles to rotate forward.

He reminded her of her brother, the one Rue hadn't seen in quite some time. He had lusted after Descent and his group, turning into the moster she had suspected always harbored inside of him. But instead of this one turning into the monster, he seemed to be turning away from a monster. Again her ligaments brought her forward, completing a full ten steps before she froze again. Indecisiveness tugged to and fro in her cranium, curious and fearful of him at exactly the same time. Instinct told her both to approach and flee. Deciding to risk it, her boa leaned forward, her tassle brushing carefree around her face. Rue hardly noticed herself getting drenched, more intent on the gladiator a rough twenty yards from her frame. She whickered again, leaning forward, anticipating if she went to him.

Rain. The masculine had yet to notice, and until his bodice was lessened of tight muscles, he could feel the liquid upon his spine. The rhythm was calming, and the water soothed his quivering figure. It was most definitely spring, as the weather promised it into being so. He was pondering on whether to step forth or not, but decided against it as she might take it in a different way than him actually forming some sort of 'truce'. The fact that she was continuing toward him puzzled him. He'd spent the past ten minutes chasing her, building up on fear and hatred. At the same time, she had no remote reason to fear him, he was gentle, a truly harmless creature. Paperthins widened, taking in the scent of her peltage; A mix of rain water and sunshine. Yes, he believed strongly that you could scent sunshine on an equid. Nape arched in a curious manner, the muscle flexing, and eventually relaxing into that position. His breath quickened as she grew closer, a low whicker rumbling within. A dagger pawed anxiously at the surface, but figured it wasn't doing himself any good, so he stood motionless.

Finally Rue drew the gap to a close between herself and the hessian. The bruja's cautious glares slowly began to soften as she came a mere few feet from Yesterdays News. Thinking of nothing to do, she simply nodded her dish, then swept it downward in a silky bow of sorts. Her Nape elegantly stretched, muzzle lightly brushing the emerald and glistening blades; For a moment the scent of others terror filled her, and she took a light step back. "I'm Rue Lynn." Her rumors were quiet, in a tremoring sort of way. Occ: ew, sucky post much! ha.[/font]

Wind was released from his lungs as the space came to a close, admiring her bravery, yet it didn't show across his expression. His facade gave nothing away, but was relatively neutral. The masculine glanced away for a moment, shifting under her strong glare. Gaze eventually returned, in time to appreciate her slight bow. Knees bent beneath his weight, lowering his bodice closer to the ground, but only by a couple inches, and ducking his head in a light bow, returning her courtesy. Rue Lynn. He repeated in his mind, a small smirk sliding onto his kissers at the thought, lips parting to release his own. "I be Yesterday's News," He spoke calmly, softly, as though trying to reassure her.

"It's a pleasure to meet you." Her barits were laced with questions. Why had he chased her? Why was he acting decent all of the sudden? More were surfacing in the back of her mind. "What brings you here?" Rue asked casually, facade slightly cold. She had asked the question as though they had met on a stroll near some beach or wandering listlessly in a grove; Nothing like this nightmarish place. She wanted to get out of standing here, knowing full well she was fair game to any who dawdled along, and even the brute she was here conversing with. Her edge at being on the lands wasn't quite noticable, but occasionaly her hoof would scrap against the topography, or the sound of a whip cracking would fill thier audits as her cord lashed against her lathered flanks.

"Likewise," He replied simply, the words seeming to hang on his tounge in a slight drawl. He was definitely planning out what to say next, for he couldn't quite gather which sentence fit which. The stallions scanned her facial features for a moment, attempting to pick up on something that hadn't surfaced quite yet. "What brings you here?" He question entered his auds, causing them to flicker in an unsure manner for a second, then return to a relaxed position. He glanced around for a moment, dial lowering to the surface to examine his own marking. What did bring him here? The thought puzzled him for a moment, and it clearly showed on his facade, though he quietly shook his bodice, preparing a suitable answer. "Passing through," He suggested, though it came out sounding more of a question, showing he wasn't exactly sure. In the truth of it all he just went where his hooves took him. "And yourself?"
