The soft breeze from the ocean brought slight relief from the nearly unbearable heat. The sticky sea air lifted the sand particles, sending them away from the ocean. The particles stung the lonesome maidens skin as they struck her. She blinked continuously to keep the sand from her thoughtful hazel eyes. Her chest expanded as she pulled in a deep breath of the salty, humid air. Just a moment later she released the carbon in a gentle sigh. The grey damsel continued slowly down the shore. The waves washed away her tracks, leaving behind no trace of her presense.
As if she had time to spare, the calm equine halted and looked out across the ocean. Her gaze shifting over the clouds, the horizon, and the winged creatures. Giving a toss of her elegant apex, she turned back to the beach and suddenly took flight in a slow canter. The three-beat cadence soothed her anxious nerves. Her audits pinned back as the wind roared in her ears. She tucked her petite muzzle to her chest, arching her neck with grace. Grace. . .elegance. . .poise. . .beauty. . .Everything seemed to cry perfection. But there was a sense of mediocracy about the frail-looking damsel.
Fervor shifted back to an ambling walk, enjoying the cool ocean waves that washed past her hocks. She gazed mindlessly out in the distance before her. She had no destination. For now she was wandering through the lands, unaware of where she might end up.
